Featuring six delegates from Melbourne and six from other Cities of Literature, participants will network, exchange ideas and connect with local literary organisations.
Please note that all delegates from other Cities of Literature will need to book their flights by the end of June. Expressions of interest are open now and close on Monday 13 March 2023, 11.59 pm (AEDT).
Writers Victoria’s Established Author Forum 2023 is now open for bookings.
Part creative development, part networking, part writing group, this forum features in-depth lectures at a high level from prominent writers on the topics they know best, as well as an opportunity to ask questions about their work and your own.
After each lecture, writers share wins, frustrations, opportunities and industry developments within a social setting. The Established Author Forum meets four times a year and includes a per-session cost or a discounted yearly fee. All sessions take place at The Wheeler Centre, unless otherwise noted. The first session is running 6.30 – 8.30pm, Thursday 16 March. Find out more and secure your booking on the Writers Victoria website.
Express Media’s Parliament Express 2023 program is open for applications until March 22.
Parliament Express is an exciting program, presented in partnership with Parliament of Victoria, designed to give young writers an introduction to the workings of parliament and practical guidance in political writing. Read more here.
In a series of two-hour workshops delivered fortnightly, participants will develop their knowledge and skills and build on their understanding of how parliament functions. They will have the chance to engage in unique experiences and meet many of the people who play a role in the work of parliament.
