Ticket Bookings

Ticket purchases can be made via wheelercentre.com or at our box office 1 hour before the event (unless the event is sold out). To check ticket availability please visit the event page.

We can only accept card payments both online and in person at this time.

The Wheeler Centre does not currently have the resources to run a full-time Box Office, and we request that bookings be made online via our website. If you have any issues or further queries, please contact ticketing@wheelercentre.com for assistance.

When you complete a booking with us, we ask for personal details such as your name, billing address and email address to assist us with:

  • Contacting you when there is an important change to the event or if an event is cancelled
  • Verifying the credit card purchase
  • Or to ensure we send you the ticket or event access information

Our booking process is secure – our systems utilise industry-standard encryption – and your credit card details remain completely confidential. If you have any concerns or queries, please contact us. You can also read our privacy policy here.

Ticket Pricing

We currently offer discounted or complimentary tickets for:

  • Concession Card Holders – These include all government issued means tested concessions such as Pension Card, Healthcare Card and Carer Cards.
  • Companion Card Holders – Enables 1 complimentary ticket. Additional charges may apply for food and beverage or merchandise packages.
  • First Nations Audiences – The Wheeler Centre endeavours to uphold ticketing policies that encourage and enable all people to be part of the conversation. In recognition that First Nations communities have historically been marginalised and face ongoing barriers to attendance at arts and culture events, The Wheeler Centre offers First Nations audiences free tickets to selected events. Complimentary tickets for First Nations communities are offered by many arts and cultural organisations across Australia.
  • Seniors Card Holders
  • Students – Full-Time and Part-Time Students, including Primary and Secondary School students.
  • Under 30’s – Available to anyone aged 29 years of age and under
  • We do not want cost to be a barrier for anyone to experience events presented by The Wheeler Centre so we are pleased to operate a No One Turned Away For Lack of Funds system. We have an allocation of tickets available for those who are not in a position to purchase a ticket right now.

Discounts and complimentary ticket offerings are available for selected events. Concession cards must be valid at the time of booking. The Wheeler Centre (TWC) reserves the right to refuse entry to an event when a ticket holder cannot produce a valid ticket or provide proof of age or proof of a concession entitlement.

Ticket Delivery

When purchasing tickets, you will be given the option to have your tickets emailed to you as either a Digital Mobile Ticket or as a .pdf attachment. All Digital Mobile Tickets are also stored in your Wheeler Centre online account in Upcoming Events. If you are unable to locate your tickets, please contact us to have them sent to you again.

Accessibility

The Wheeler Centre is dedicated to providing exceptional ticketing services to audience members with access requirements. All ticket buyers will be given the opportunity to notify us of all access requirements when booking online. Book Purchases

For select events, you may be given the option to pre-purchase a copy of relevant books at the time of your online purchase. Once these have been purchased, the books will be available for collection at the venue from the bookseller. If you pre-purchase a book but are unable to attend your event, please email ticketing@wheelercentre.com and we can provide the bookseller’s contact details for you to organise collection and/or postage.

Online Events and Livestreams

If you have purchased a ticket for an online event, you can access the stream from your Wheelercentre.com account in the Digital Events section.

For all free live streamed events, you will find the stream available on the event page or our YouTube channel.

The Wheeler Centre aims to release as many of its events digitally for free after the event, either via our YouTube channel or our podcast. This is dependent on a number of factors and not always guaranteed. If you have any questions regarding access to digital events, please contact our ticketing team here.

Refunds and Exchanges

As per our Terms and Conditions of Sale, The Wheeler Centre adheres to the Code of Practice for the Ticketing of Live Events in Australia.

As such, refunds, cancellations and exchanges will not be offered except as required by law and according to the Code of Practice.
