Ticketing Information
How do I access a video or livestream?
If you have purchased a ticket for a Postcards From Abroad event, you can access the stream from your wheelercentre.com account in the 'Digital Events' section.
For all other live streamed events, you will find the stream available on the event page or on our YouTube channel.
I can’t find my tickets; how can I access them?
If you selected PDF tickets, these were sent to you at the time of booking from ticketing@wheelercentre.com. If you are unable to find them, please contact us to have them sent to you again.
If you selected Digital Tickets, these will be available by logging into your Wheeler Centre online account under 'Upcoming Performances'.
Can I book over the phone or in person?
The Wheeler Centre does not have a dedicated box office, and we request that bookings be made online via our website. If you have any issues or further queries, please contact our reception on (03) 9094 7800 for assistance. Reception hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Who is eligible for concession?
Currently, concession entitlement discounts for select paid Wheeler Centre events include the following:
Pensioners: A current Pensioner Concession Card from Social Security or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs must be presented on request.
Seniors: A current government-issued Seniors Card must be presented on request.
Unemployed/Health Card: A current government-issued Health Care card must be presented upon request.
Student/Youth: Student Card identification (including Australian and international student cards) must be presented upon request for students or children aged 17 years and under.
Concessions must be valid at the time of booking. The Wheeler Centre (TWC) may refuse entry to its events when a ticket holder cannot produce a valid ticket or cannot provide proof of a concession entitlement.
Companion Card holders are entitled to 1 complimentary ticket using the Companion Card Holder ticket type.
Why are some events free and others not?
The Wheeler Centre strives to keep as many events as possible low cost. The majority of our events are free, low-cost or have 'pay what you wish' options available. The Wheeler Centre may charge for some events to make them possible, and to ensure we can continue to present an ongoing suite of events at a low or no cost.
We never want cost to be a barrier for anyone to experience events presented by the Wheeler Centre. If you are not in a position to purchase a ticket for a paid event, please contact ticketing@wheelercentre.com with details of your request.
Do you accept group bookings?
For some events we can accommodate large groups. Please contact ticketing@wheelercentre.com for all group booking enquires.
For school booking enquiries, please complete the school booking form.
Why do you need my details when booking a ticket?
We ask for your personal details to assist us with:
- Contacting you when there is an important change to the event, or an event is cancelled
- Verifying the credit card purchase
- And to ensure we send you the ticket or event access information
You will have the option of signing up to our mailing list when purchasing a ticket or creating a new account.
Why do you only accept bookings online and credit card payments?
The Wheeler Centre does not have the resources to run a full-time box office to facilitate in person or phone bookings.
Our systems utilise industry-standard encryption so our booking process is secure and your credit card details remain completely confidential. If you have any concerns or queries, please contact us. You can also read our privacy policy here.
I can no longer attend an event; can I get a refund?
As per our Terms and Conditions of Sale, the Wheeler Centre adheres to the Code of Practice for the Ticketing of Live Events in Australia (see www.liveperformance.com.au for details).
As such, refunds, cancellations and exchanges will not be offered except as required by law and according to the Code of Practice.
Under special circumstances, and only at the discretion of the Wheeler Centre, a refund may be offered if the request for a refund is made no later than 48 hours prior to the event.
While Covid restrictions are in place for live events, every effort will be made to process your refund request if it is received prior to the event commencing.
A request for a ticket refund must be made in writing and addressed to ticketing@wheelercentre.com.
If an event is rescheduled or cancelled, you will be offered a full refund.
If you have any further queries, please contact us directly. You can read the Wheeler Centre’s Ticketing Terms and Conditions here.
