The Executive & Office Coordinator provides administrative support to the CEO, Board, and executive team, as well as resident organisations in The Wheeler Centre. The Executive & Office Coordinator manages the CEO’s calendar assists with Board and Committee administration; provides administrative support to the Head of Development, supports the Chief Operating Officer with office and meeting administration, and supports the Head of Production with building management. From time-to-time, the Executive & Office Coordinator assists with greeting visitors or supporting resident organisations at the reception desk. Effective communication and outstanding organisation skills will be required, along with a friendly, helpful attitude. Applications close 9am Monday, February 2. The Wheeler Centre for Books, Writing & Ideas is current seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for Victorian Premier's Literary Awards Judges. The Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards (VPLAs) were inaugurated by the Victorian Government in 1985 to honour literary achievement by Australian writers. The awards recognise excellence in Australian writing and its contributions to the development of Australian culture. They aim to advance the Victorian community’s appreciation of Australian literature and assist living authors in their careers and promote Victoria’s literary and publishing industries. Entries are sought across eight categories, with the winners of each Prize receiving $25,000, and will go on to contest the major prize, the $100,000 Victorian Prize for Literature. This is the single most valuable literary award in the country.
