Consuming Culture

When

Event Status

A panel of pop culture experts join forces for an always-timely conversation about how and what we’re consuming, and why.

From a movie about a donkey to Paul Mescal’s Oscar-nominated turn in Aftersun and the onset of peak Barbie marketing campaign, the last 12 months have ushered in many an iconic pop culture moment.

Join cultural critic Michael Sun, film critic and programmer Kelli Weston, cook and author Julia Busuttil Nishimura, and moderator Brodie Lancaster as they analyse what they’ve been watching, reading, and otherwise consuming in film and media since last year’s Melbourne International Film Festival.

Presented in partnership with Melbourne International Film Festival as part of MIFF Talks, a program presented by the University of Melbourne.
