Pick your favourite: Vote for the 2026 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award People’s Choice!
What was your standout Australian book this year?
Members of the public are invited to vote for their favourite title in the 2025 Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards People’s Choice Award. Books in both the shortlists and highly commended lists are eligible.
The People’s Choice Award recipient will receive a $2,000 prize and will be announced alongside the major category winners at the official ceremony in February 2026.
As a thank you for voting, you’ll also go in the draw to win a VPLA Book Pack valued at approximately $300, featuring a curated selection of ten outstanding titles chosen by The Wheeler Centre team.
Entries close on Sunday 18 January 2026, 11.59pm AEDT.
The prize will be drawn on Tuesday 20 January 2026, and the winner will be notified by email no later than Friday 23 January 5pm AEDT.
Each entrant may only enter the Competition once. There will be 1 winner. If The Wheeler Centre is unable to contact the winner by 31 January 2026, then the prize will be forfeited and redrawn. Entrants agree to assume all liability for any loss suffered in connection with the Competition and to hold harmless The Wheeler Centre.
