Di Morrissey has been on our bestseller lists for over 20 years, selling several million copies of her much-loved novels. An Australian icon, she’s also been a familiar face on our television screens and in magazines, including a pre-publishing stint as a staffer on the Women’s Weekly.
Di says she writes what she is passionate about, and all her books are inspired by a particular landscape. Her upcoming novel, The Winter Sea is set on the south coast of New South Wales. She’ll talk about it and her stellar writing career with author Toni Jordan.
Toni Jordan is the author of four novels. The international bestseller Addition (2008) was a Richard and Judy Book Club pick, and was longlisted for the Miles Franklin award. Fall Girl (2010) was published internationally and has been optioned for film, while Nine Days (2012) was awarded Best Fiction at the 2012 Indie Awards, shortlisted for the ABIA Best General Fiction award and named in Kirkus Review’s Top 10 Historical Novels of 2013. Her latest novel is Our Tiny, Useless Hearts (2016). Toni has been published widely in newspapers and magazines.
Di Morrissey is one of the most successful novelists Australia has ever produced. With sales in the several million copies, she consistently tops the bestseller lists, with each book outselling the previous one.
We can’t wait to get back on the road again – bringing some of our favourite writers to regional Victoria. We’ll be packing up the car with books and authors, travelling from country to coast … and making sure Melbourne doesn’t get all the literary fun. Look out for our bootful of books – coming to a town near you.
