Poetry and Spoken Word Workshop
Do you know a budding poet, who doesn’t know it or – better still – one who does know it and wants to learn more?
At this workshop, kids will get the chance to learn some of the basics of poetry and spoken word from Melbourne spoken-word artist and aficionado Abdul Hammoud. Abdul is not only a great poet, he’s also a highly experienced educator, whose words and workshops has taken him across the world, including to the United States and his home country of Lebanon.
He’ll teach kids about the building blocks of performance poetry, and the possibilities of rhythm, rhyme and sound.
Suitable for children aged seven to twelve.
