First Look: Williamstown's New Library

BACK

Earlier today, Williamstown - in Melbourne’s inner Western suburbs - welcomed its new library. The project, which cost $8.1 million, offers 18 computers, iPads, gaming consoles, a gallery, meeting rooms and a cafe alongside its collection of books, DVDs and CDs. It also boasts extensive accessibility features and incorporates sustainable design including a 45,000 litre water tank.

We sent photographer (and area resident) Tony O'Loughlin to the new library for an early look. Here’s what he found.
