The Silver Sea Workshop

When

Event Status

Imagine sneaking out at night for a magical underwater adventure …

The Silver Sea is a whimsical picture book about exactly that. Created by Alison Lester and Jane Godwin with young people from the Royal Children’s Hospital, it’s the story of two inquisitive kids who swim among the dolphins, seals and turtles for one incredible night. Vibrantly illustrated and told in rhyme, The Silver Sea is an unforgettable collaboration between local kids and two giants of Australian children literature.

At this free Wheeler Kids event, Alison and Jane will read from The Silver Sea – and then lead a hands-on art workshop. Hear an unforgettable story before creating your very own sea creature with two of the best in the biz!

Little Bookroom will be our bookseller at this event.

This event is best suited for children ages 5–8.
