Following his triumphant MasterChef Australia win in 2010, Adam Liaw has become one of the country’s most trusted and engaging voices on food. Across television, books and journalism, he has championed an approach to cooking that is practical, nourishing and grounded in culture.
In Asian Home Cooking, Liaw turns his attention to everyday meals from around the titular continent. Featuring more than 200 recipes, the book travels from Japanese staples and Vietnamese soups to South Indian sambars and the noodles of China, placing each dish within its important cultural and domestic context.
In conversation with Benjamin Law, Liaw reflects on the years of travel and research behind the book, his prolific career and the role food plays in shaping family, identity and belonging.
