Jubilee Hall, Macedon

Jubilee Hall sits at the foot of Mount Macedon/Geboor in the Macedon Township. Established in 1898 and then rebuilt after the Ash Wednesday fires, Jubilee hall is managed by community volunteers.

V/Line’s fast-rail service between Melbourne and Bendigo stops at Clarkefield, Riddells Creek, Gisborne, Macedon, Woodend, Kyneton and Malmsbury.

Approximate travel times are: Southern Cross to Macedon (55 minutes) | Bendigo to Macedon (70 mins).

All V/Line stations are accessible for customers with mobility aids and most trains can be accessed via a portable ramp that PTV conductors operate. Most V/Line coaches on scheduled services have a lift and an allocated space for customers with mobility aids.

If you require special assistance or have any concerns, please call PTV at 1800 800 007 (6am-midnight) to discuss your needs  before you travel. If required, we will make alternative travel arrangements for you as long as your mobility aid meets the dimension requirements.

Conductors and station staff are available to assist you throughout your journey.

Parking

There is plenty of free parking at the Macedon Railway station (a 5-minute walk to the festival hub). You can pre-book a disabled car parking space by contacting at info@mountainwritersfestival.com.au
