Virginia Gay

Virginia Gay is a performer for stage and television.

Virginia graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2005. She spent three years pretending to be a nurse on Chanel Seven’s All Saints, six months pretending to be Julia Gillard in the Sydney Theatre Company’s Wharf Review ‘Pennies From Kevin’, and is currently shooting the third season of Winners & Losers where she pretends to know a lot about high finance. This last one, particularly, is a stretch.

Her one woman cabaret show Dirty Pretty Songs headlined the Famous Spiegeltent at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and sold out the 2012 Adelaide Cabaret Festival. She is currently writing a new show, Songs To Self-Destruct To, premiering AdCabFest 2013, and is Ali McGregor’s fetish French maid in her Late-Nite Variety-Nite Night as part of Melbourne International Comedy Festival, which she enjoys rather too much.
