Suri Matondkar

About

Suri Matondkar is an Indian writer and doctoral student. She usually writes about her experiences as an international student in Australia, but sometimes it’s about the complexities of Taylor Swift’s lyrics. Her work has been shortlisted for the 2022 Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Writing, the 2022 Island Nonfiction Prize and the 2022 Catalyse Nonfiction Prize and won the inaugural Deakin Postgraduate Prize in Writing and Literature. She is grateful for the chance to live and overthink on unceded Wurundjeri land where she uses too many gifs in work emails, worries too much about forgetting important things, and carefully avoids phone calls.
