Stevie Lane

About

Stevie is a writer, videographer and digital creator based in Boorloo (Perth, W.A.) on Whadjuk Noongar booja. They have many years experience advocating for the rights of LGBTIQA+ people and other marginalised communities, and creating resources through their Instagram account @TheQueerAdvocate.

They currently work on equity initiatives at Edith Cowan University, deliver LGBTIQA+ inclusive practice training at Living Proud, and are a part of LGBTIQ+ Health Australia’s National Trans and Gender Diverse Advisory Committee. They are also currently completing their masters research on accessibility and user experience design with a focus on neurodiversity. Stevie loves to use their lived experience as a queer, trans and non-binary person to connect with others, tell stories, educate and create change. More information about their work can be found on their website.
