Sarah Bailey is a Melbourne-based writer with a background in advertising and communications. She has three children and is currently the Managing Director of the Sydney and Melbourne offices of global advertising agency VMLY&R. Her internationally award-winning Gemma Woodstock trilogy includes The Dark Lake (2017) – winner of the Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction (2018) and the Davitt Award for Best Debut (2018) – followed by Into the Night (2018) and Where the Dead Go (2019). In 2020, she published the standalone thriller The Housemate, and Audible exclusive Final Act in 2021. All of her books have been optioned for film and television and are in various stages of production. The next book in the Gemma Woodstock series will be published in March 2024.
