About

Romy Ladowsky is Head of Development at the Wheeler Centre.

With a background in international relations, trade and diplomacy, Romy understands the power of conversation and cross-cultural story-telling and is passionate about growing the Wheeler Centre’s reach and impact.

Romy’s previously held roles include General Manager at the Young Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce; Speechwriter at the United Nations; and Policy Advisor at the Association for Civil Rights in Israel. In 2017, Romy led the Australian youth delegation to the UN Commission on the Status of Women and, in her work with the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, she campaigned the establishment of a UN Nuclear Ban Treaty for which the organisation received the Nobel Peace Prize.

Romy holds a Masters in International Relations at the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University.
