Professor Rodney Hicks initially trained to be a cardiologist, but then went into nuclear medicine which led to improving imaging techniques for cancer treatment. He is now the director of the Centre for Molecular Imaging, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He is also the first one in the office to own an e-reader.
