Robert Power

About

Robert Power was born in Dublin, worked as a journalist in London and now lives in Melbourne with his wife and his youngest son.

He works in the area of HIV prevention at the Burnet Institute and has travelled to all continents as a consultant. He has published over 100 academic journal articles and appeared on TV in Australia and abroad. He is also a respected visual artist and has had five solo exhibitions and numerous commissions.

An earlier version of his debut novel, In Search of the Blue Tiger, was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards for an Unpublished Manuscript in 2008. He has just completed Swansong, a literary thriller and is currently working on a sequel to The Blue Tiger. He is also second prize winner in the Age Short Story Competition 2011.
