Rebecca Batties is an award winning international creative executive with an extensive background in launching international media brands worldwide, developing innovative content and global marketing strategies for all platforms.
She started her career as a journalist at the Age in Australia, then quickly moved to the US to work for media giant Viacom where she launched and oversaw the international growth of MTV worldwide. Once described as a road warrior for MTV Networks, she was an integral part of the music brand shifting cultures around the world. Batties also headed Discovery Networks international channels out of Washington DC and was an early mover into the digital space, heading production at UGO networks.
Most recently she has turned her skills to the not-for-profit space, developing strategic approaches to fund-raising and social impact initiatives. As well as her time in Australia and the USA, she developed international expertise while working in Japan, Germany, Russia, Italy and the UK.
