Rachel Buchanan

About

Rachel Buchanan (Te Ati Awa, Taranaki) is the author of The Parihaka Album: Lest We Forget, a history-memoir published by Huia, a Maori-owned New Zealand publisher.

She teaches journalism at La Trobe University. Rachel trained as a reporter on daily newspapers in New Zealand and was on staff at The Age between 1993 and 2002. She has a PhD in history from Monash.
