Paul Yore

About

Paul Yore was born in 1987, Naarm/Melbourne, and lives and works on Gunaikurnai land in Gippsland, Australia. Yore completed studies in painting, archaeology and anthropology at Monash University in 2010, before taking up full time work as an artist. He is celebrated as a prominent queer practitioner, working across installation, sound, video, collage, and textiles.

Yore has shown in major institutions across Australia, and internationally, including in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, South Korea, the UK and USA. His work is held in public and private collections, both in Australia and internationally, including the National Gallery of Victoria, the Art Gallery of South Australia, Heide Museum of Modern Art, Si Shang Art Museum Beijing, The Ian Potter Museum and Bendigo Art Gallery. In September 2022, Yore will be presenting an early career survey at ACCA, featuring over 100 textiles works alongside a major new installation work.
