Molly Carlile is a multi-award winning leader in the field of death and grief. She has an extensive clinical and senior management background in specialist palliative care. Molly was the General Manager of Integrated Cancer Services at the Olivia Newton John Cancer and Wellness Centre, Austin Health before becoming the Chief Executive Officer at a large community palliative care service in the southern metropolitan area of Melbourne in 2016.
As a published author and international speaker, Molly has demonstrated her passion and commitment to informing and empowering ordinary people to have conversations about death, grief and loss. Her interest in the arts has seen her collaborate on two highly acclaimed plays about these topics with Alan Hopgood AM, that have toured nationally. Molly has been a regular guest on television and radio and her website deathtalker.com provides a range of printed and video resources for people who want to understand how to better support themselves and the people they love, when facing significant loss. Molly is a national Ambassador for Dying to Know Day.
