Marziya Mohammadi

About

Marziya is an Australian based refugee advocate from Afghanistan. Currently in her final year of Law, she has worked with the refugee community in South Australia in numerous capacities, including as a case manager at the Australian Red Cross and AMES Australia. She has appeared as a keynote speaker at various platforms, speaking on important issues facing asylum seekers and refugees in Australia. Passionate about female empowerment and inclusion of refugee communities, Marziya uses public speaking as a medium to shift the way a refugee, a Muslim woman, and a woman of color is typically perceived in our communities.
