Maggie Munn

Maggie Munn is a proud Gunggari advocate from south-west Queensland, and joined the Human Rights Law Centre as Director of the First Nations Justice team in May 2024. They bring extensive campaigning and advocacy experience to their work. Maggie has previously held roles at Change the Record, Amnesty International, and the Federal Court.

Maggie is deeply committed to ending the mass incarceration of their people, and has spent many years as an advocate and campaigning on First Nations children, OPCAT compliance, raising the minimum age of criminal responsibility, and youth justice. They are passionate about First Nations justice, climate justice and land rights, disability justice and the abolition of the prison industrial complex.
