Lulu Houdini
Lulu Houdini is a Gamilaroi poet and midwife whose work explores invisibility, memory, resistance, and the thresholds between worlds. Her poetry has appeared in Meanjin, Overland, Red Room Poetry and Cordite. Her debut collection, ma-li (Hachette, 2026) won the 2024 black&write! Fellowship and was shortlisted for the David Unaipon Award. Her second manuscript, River Page, was also shortlisted for the 2024 David Unaipon Award. She lives and creates on/with Jerrinja and Wandi Wandandian Country.
