Louisa Lim
Louisa Lim is an award-winning journalist and the author of two non-fiction books. Her latest Indelible City; Dispossession and Defiance in Hong Kong (Riverhead, 2022) was a New York Times Notable Book and won a Taiwan Open Book award. It was shortlisted for five awards including the Stella Prize, a Walkley and the Prime Minister's Literary Awards. Lim spent a decade in China as a correspondent for the BBC and NPR, and is now an Associate Professor of Journalism at the University of Melbourne. Her first book The People's Republic of Amnesia; Tiananmen Revisited (OUP, 2014) was shortlisted for the Orwell Prize for political writing. Lim co-hosts the Little Red Podcast, which has been downloaded more than a million times. She has been awarded fellowships from MacDowell, Ucross, Hawthornden and Varuna Writer’s House.
