Leon Filewood is a proud Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander comedian rapidly making his mark on the Australian scene. A recipient of the 2026 Moosehead Award, Leon captured audiences with his acclaimed debut solo show Whichway? and a standout performance at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Oxfam Gala. He was also the 2018 winner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's National Deadly Funny competition. A background in law, and a career in First Nation stakeholder engagement, Leon balances professional sharpness with a unique comedic mind. Fresh from developing his new show Holding Space with Tom Ballard, Leon brings his acclaimed, storytelling-driven comedy to the 2026 Melborne Comedy Festival.
