Karen from Finance


Karen from Finance is the premiere ‘corporate’ queen of Melbourne, Australia. She lives alone with her budgie ‘Dantè’ and enjoys tax time, office-based bonding activities, and invoice archiving.

In both 2017 and 2018 Karen from Finance took off to the United States of America where she was featured at RuPaul’s Drag Con in LA and was booked on panels along side season one winner Bebe Zahara Benet and the hosts of Drag Race Thailand, Art Arya and Pangina Heals. Karen has continued on to headline shows in New York City, Chicago, Minneapolis and Los Angeles, and November 2017 saw Karen from Finance headlining the Austin International Drag Festival in Texas along side the likes of Milk, Latrice Royale and the UK’s Cheddar Gorgeous.

Karen from Finance is one of the original cast members of Melbourne based cult queer cabaret ‘YUMMY’. ‘Yummy’ premiered the debut full length show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2017 which saw them awarded Best Ensemble and Best Production in the Cabaret category of the prestigious Melbourne Greenroom Awards. ‘Yummy’ then took the show to the Perth ‘Fringe World’ festival as well as the Adelaide Fringe Festival where they received countless 5 star reviews and were nominated for best cabaret in both festivals. ‘Yummy’ went International in June 2018 at the Right Royal Cabaret Festival in New Plymouth – New Zealand, and are looking forward to their debut at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland.

Karen co-wrote, co-produced and co-starred in the full-length independent production ‘Karen & Olympia On Ice’ with Olympia Bukkakis in early 2015, the 2016 Melbourne International Comedy Festival hit ‘Les N Mis’ with Dean Arcuri, as well as the 2017 Adelaide Fringe show ‘Mary’s Divas’.
