About

Jane Gleeson-White is the author of Classics (2005) and Australian Classics (2007). Her third book, Double Entry: How the merchants of Venice shaped the modern world – and how their invention could make or break the planet, will be published by Allen & Unwin in October 2011.

She is currently the fiction editor of Overland literary journal and a PhD student at the University of New South Wales. She blogs about books at http://bookishgirl.com.au/. She has also edited many Australian books including The Slap and Dead Europe by Christos Tsiolkas, Jamaica and A Private Man by Malcolm Knox, The Submerged Cathedral by Charlotte Wood, Isabelle the Navigator and Candy by Luke Davies, Far From a Still Life: Margaret Olley by Meg Stewart, and The Truth About My Fathers by Gaby Naher.
