About

Jamie Tram is a culture writer and screenwriter. Their work covers film, videogames, and online subcultures, and can be found in places such as Senses of Cinema and The Big Issue, where they are currently the Small Screens Editor. They’ve appeared on ABC’s Art Works program and Triple R’s Primal Screen podcast to gush about their favourite Hong Kong actors, amongst other less important topics. In 2022, they co-wrote the animated short Graveyard Shift, which won MQFF’s Pitch, Pleez! competition and premiered at the opening night of the festival. They’ve also made TikToks on queer history and cinema for Rainbow History Class. They are an alumni of MIFF’s Critics Campus program and the VCA, where they have since returned to tutor screenwriting.
