Isabelle Oderberg heads up social media at Australian Red Cross and sits on the committee of The Melbourne Press Club.
Oderberg started her career in journalism with a degree in Melbourne, then headed to London where she worked in the financial trade press before making a move into real-time news, working at international wires Reuters and Dow Jones. She returned to Melbourne to take up a post at AAP and then joined Alan Kohler as founding news editor of Business Spectator, before becoming interviews editor and China commentator.
She was Herald Sun deputy business editor, then appointed the first social media editor in Australia. Later, as national social media editor at News Corp, she developed social media strategy across all of its Australian newsrooms.
