About

Helen Kwok is a multimedia artist and designer who creates playful installations, experimental games, and public play activations. A first generation Hong Kong immigrant based in Naarm (Melbourne), her practice often blends the physical and digital, crafting experiences that playfully extend beyond the screen.

Since 2020, Helen has worked with City of Melbourne, Moreland City Council, Bunjil Place, Moomba Festival, National Gallery of Victoria, and State Library Victoria on projects that encourage families, kids, and adults to play in social and public spaces. In 2021, Helen was selected as one of four emerging artists nationwide for NAVA’s inaugural mentorship initiative, and is currently a participant of the Emerging Creative Leaders 2021–22 program run by Footscray Community Arts. She has showcased her work at festivals, conferences, and events both locally and internationally, including at IndieCade, A MAZE., Game Arts International Assembly, and Freeplay Independent Games Festival.
