Harry O’Brien is a much loved and lauded AFL premiership footballer. He plays for Collingwood.
But there is more to Harry than his incredible skills on the football field. Harry dedicates his spare time to generating peace and equality for all as seen through his passionate involvement in and outspoken voice on worldwide social issues. Born in Rio to a Brazilian mother and a Congolese father and moving to a very white Australia at the age of three, he knows personally what its like to be on the receiving end of racial taunts and marginalisation yet he remains a truly open and compassionate young leader.
