Hanno Sauer

Hanno Sauer is a writer & philosopher from Germany. He is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands. He has published numerous academic articles and monographs. In 2020, he received the Royal Netherlands Academy of Science Early Career Award for outstanding young researchers. His book The Invention of Good and Evil. A World History of Morality (Profile Books), has been translated into 20 languages and appeared on the Best Books of 2024 lists of The New Yorker, The Ecomonist, El Mundo, and others. Hanno Sauer lives in Düsseldorf.
