Greg Davies is Secretary of the Police Association.

Greg Davies joined the Victoria Police Force in February 1977 following his father, who retired as a Detective Sergeant and his grand-father, who retired as a Senior Sergeant.

Stationed at Russell Street, Footscray, Frankston, Cheltenham, Prahran and St. Kilda as a Constable & Senior Constable and later at Prahran as a Sergeant, he moved to country Victoria in 1990 where he worked at the Ballarat Police Station and D.24. He was appointed as the Sergeant In Charge at Buninyong in 1994. In 2000 he was promoted to Senior Sergeant at the Crime Prevention Office in Melbourne, where he remained until taking up an advocacy role with the Police Association in 2002. All of his experience is in general duties policing.

Greg became the Association’s Manager (Legal) in 2003 and was appointed as the Secretary of The Police Association in 2008, formally assuming the role in March 2009. He is the recipient of the National Medal, the Victoria Police Service Medal, and has been commended for bravery by the Royal Humane Society of Australasia.
