Elspeth Muir

Elspeth Muir is a Brisbane-based author whose writing has appeared in the Lifted BrowThe Best of the Lifted Brow: Volume One, Griffith Review, Voiceworks and Bumf. She is a postgraduate student at the University of Queensland.

Her debut book, a memoir, is called Wasted: A Story of Alcohol, Grief and a Death in Brisbane. It was shortlisted for 2016’s Queensland Premier’s Award for a Work of State Significance, and longlisted for the 2017 Stella Prize.
