Ella Rowe

Ella Rowe is an Australian–Papua New Guinean hair artist, textured hair specialist, and founder of Elvies Studios in Melbourne. Passionate about celebrating curly, coily, afro, and textured hair, Ella has built a reputation for creating inclusive spaces where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered in their natural beauty.

Inspired by her Pacific Islander heritage and personal experiences navigating the beauty industry, she founded Elvies Studios to challenge outdated beauty standards and provide culturally informed hair care and education. Her work focuses on healthy hair practices, identity, confidence, and community connection.

Beyond the salon, Ella is an advocate for textured hair education and representation, using her platform to raise awareness about the cultural significance of hair within Pacific communities.
