Deborah Lipstadt

Deborah Lipstadt is Dorot Professor of Modern Jewish History and Holocaust Studies at Emory University, Atlanta. She is best known for the libel lawsuit against her by David Irving – after she called him a Holocaust denier; the trial judge found Irving to be a 'neo-Nazi polemicist'. Denial, starring Rachel Weisz, is based on her book History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier. Her most recent book is Antisemitism Here and Now.
