Dani Valent

Dani Valent is one of Australia’s most respected communicators. Based in Melbourne, she is a longtime freelance journalist, restaurant critic for The Age Good Food, and award-winning cookbook author. She hosts the Dirty Linen food podcast, where she explores restaurants and the hospitality industry. Dani started her career as a travel writer for Lonely Planet, where she covered destinations including Bulgaria, Corsica, New York, Hong Kong and Broken Hill. Dani also hosts food tours and events and is an in-demand MC and media commentator. She was named a Legend by the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival in 2022 and was honoured for her Outstanding Contribution to Hospitality in the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards 2023.
