About

Corrie Chen is a highly sought-after, award-winning writer director whose work spans comedy and drama. She recently completed her miniseries that she directed for SBS, New Gold Mountain (Goalpost Pictures). Previously she directed the latest season of Wentworth for FremantleMedia/Foxtel which was nominated for an AACTA award for Best Drama Series. In 2018, she was presented with the Film Victoria’s Greg Tepper award in recognition for her achievements in Directing and contributions to the screen industry.

She directed and executive produced the first SBS digital original series Homecoming Queen, a semi-autobiographical comedy-drama which was nominated for multiple awards including the AACTAs and the Australian Director’s Guild.

Corrie completed her short, Reg Makes Contact through the Screen Australia Talent Escalator program. The film premiered at the 2015 Melbourne International Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Live Action Short at the AACTA Awards.
