Corey Wakeling is an Australian poet based in the Kansai region of Japan. 

He is the author of two books of poetry, chapbook Gargantuan Terrier, Buggy or Dinghy (Vagabond Press, 2012) and full-length Goad Omen (Giramondo ,2013). His poetry has appeared in fourW, Best Australian Poems, Writing to the WireActive Aesthetics: Contemporary Australian Poetry and Fremantle Press Anthology of Western Australian Poetry. Corey received a PhD in English and Theatre Studies from the University of Melbourne in 2013 for a thesis on Samuel Beckett. His next full-length collection of poetry, The Alarming Conservatory, will be published in February 2018.
