Chris Womersley’s short fiction has appeared in Granta, Best Australian Stories (2006, 2010 and 2011), Griffith Review, Wet Ink and Meanjin. His first novel The Low Road won the Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction.
His second novel, Bereft, won the ABIA Award for Literary Fiction, was longlisted for the Dublin IMPAC Award and was shortlisted for the Miles Franklin Literary Award, the Age Book of the Year and the Australian Society of Literature Gold Medal. Bereft is being translated into several languages.
Chris lives in Melbourne with his wife and son.
