Chloe Mayne
Chloe Mayne is a Tasmanian poet and scholar whose work has appeared in Cordite, Overland and Best of Australian Poems. A descendant of the Trawlwoolway people of the island's north-east, as well as many convicts aboard the early fleets, her writing explores questions of displacement, belonging and renewal. In 2024 she was a finalist in the Judith Wright Poetry Prize, and in 2026 was shortlisted for the Australian Book Review’s Calibre Essay Prize. She recently completed her creative doctorate, Mother Country, a hybrid manuscript navigating motherhood, ancestry and place through poetry and archival research.
