Charlie Mackenzie

About
Charlie is a 14 year old artist based in Melbourne. She mainly works in musical theatre but also writes her own original music. Her intent with her music is to ‘capture the feelings you can’t put into words because you don’t quite know why they are there’. Over the years she has trained with the Young Australian Broadway Chorus and Josh Cohen school of music. She currently trains at Dan Hamill Performance Coaching in musical theatre but is also exploring her writing skills with them.
Some of her most recent projects have been playing the role of Patty in the Australian dance companies production of Grease. She has also been a part of the PAU Choir in the Victorian state schools spectacular on Channel 7.
Recently, she performed in her first professional music theatre show, 13 at the Clock Tower Centre. Alongside musical theatre, she performs at festivals, galas and bars as often as she can to share and explore her music and voice in different styles. She plans to chose performing as her career and explore every inch of the creative arts as she can.
