Carmel Bird is an Australian fiction writer who has written ten novels and six collections of
short fiction. Her most recent novel is Child of the Twilight.
She has also edited many collections of essays and short stories, and has written three highly popular books on how to write, the latest being Writing the Story of Your Life. Her most recent publication is the picture book The Fabulous Finola Fox (illustrated by Kerry Argent and published by Penguin).
