Alicia Garza

About

Alicia Garza is an organiser, writer and freedom dreamer from Oakland, California. She is Special Projects Director for the National Domestic Workers Alliance.

Garza’s activism is rooted in organising strategies to connect individuals and emerging social movements. Her work celebrates the contributions of Black queer women within narratives of black movements, and reminds us that the Black radical tradition is long, complex and international. She connects emerging social movements, without diminishing the structural violence facing Black people.
