Ahona Guha

About

Dr Ahona Guha is a clinical and forensic psychologist from Melbourne, Australia. She has specific interests in assessing and treating those who present with a serious risk of engaging in harmful behaviours toward others (such as stalking, sex offending and violence), and in working with clients with a history of abuse and trauma. She predominantly writes psychology non-fiction with the intention of deconstructing complex psychological constructs for the lay reader—to help people live better, safer, and more psychologically healthy lives. Her first book, Reclaim, is being published by Scribe Publications in 2023, and she writes widely for the media; including the ABC, SBS and Breathe Magazine.

She has a strong orientation toward mental health recovery and rehabilitation and is interested in instituting systemic changes to embed trauma informed care within the mental health, and correctional systems. She is also very interested in contributing to conversations about respectful relationships. Visit www.ahonaguha.com for more information about Dr Guha’s work.
