[Watch] Jeanette Winterson: Forty Years of Storytelling
Jeanette Winterson – one of the world’s most celebrated and genre-defying writers – joins The Wheeler Centre for a rare Melbourne appearance, reflecting on four decades of literary innovation, provocation and insight.
Since her landmark 1985 debut Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit, Winterson has forged a singular path across fiction, memoir, and cultural criticism. Her work spans themes as varied as gender, technology, myth, religion and identity – always marked by her fearless intellect and unorthodox style.
In this special event, Winterson explores the enduring questions at the heart of her writing, before opening the floor for an extended Ask Me Anything – offering audiences a unique opportunity to engage with one of literature’s most original and thought-provoking voices.
