[Read] Hot Desk Extract: Helena Pantsis - Swamp Thing

As part of The Wheeler Centre’s Hot Desk Fellowship program, Helena worked on the development of her comic exploring the story of a woman who has an affair with a swamp monster that results from the floods in her backyard. Exploring themes of queerness, self-discovery, and immersion in the natural world, the comic has been developed in a free-form style, experimenting with structure and imagery and incorporating poetic storytelling devices.
