Australian bloggers have a chance to get some accolades for their work. The Sydney Writers Festival has launched a new prize to honour the country’s best blogs and their creators.

Yesterday, we reported on how expat writers in Japan are tweeting on the country’s three-pronged catastrophes. Today we highlight this New Matilda piece on social media and Arab resistance. And last Friday we mentioned this innovative new book on social media in Egypt.
